On Friday the 27th of September West Winch Friends Fundraising for Macmillan will be hosting another all day event.
Following the success of Macmillan Day 2016 we’ve decided to do it all over again, but this time we’ve produced a vintage inspired calendar too, with many of our committee members featuring 🤗.
Our event will start at 8am and begin with a coffee morning, for this we’ll need lots of cakes and savoury bakes, so if you could bake us a cake, muffins, sausage rolls or any other fabulous creation we’d appreciate your donation.
Throughout the day you’ll be able to buy raffle tickets, bid in our auction (we have some fantastic prizes), try your luck on the tombola, pet tombola, water & wine stall, handbag 50/50, £1 bags (you loved these in 2016!) and guess the weight of the Christmas cake.
We’ve not forgotten the children, after school there will be a sweet stall, vintage ice cream van, lucky dip, face painting, glitter tattoos, hairbraiding, bouncy castle, Fun Fitness for kids and the much loved mascots.
Our BBQ will start at 3.30pm this year so you won’t go hungry, if anyone could volunteer to help with cooking please let me know.
Into the evening you’ll see the kids v adults kick off their first match at 5.30 (6-10 years and 11-16 years), if you fancy getting involved there will be a signing up point on the field, there will be a cost of £1 per player.
At 6.30 things liven up a little, we have the fire brigade joining us (hopefully they won’t get called away) to compete against all you adults that fancy a more challenging kick about, again, please sign up at the signing up point.
From 7pm our first band of the evening will perform, On The Rebound were a huge success last time, playing hits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, so bring your dancing shoes and let down your hair.
The raffle and auction will commence from 8pm, with top prizes including a 43” TV and Xbox, with over 100 other prizes.
At 9pm our second band will perform in the Sports Bar, this will be a contender from our local Battle Of The Bands competition, it’s yet to be confirmed as to which band it will be but if they’re as good as the group we had in 2016 you won’t be disappointed.
Please come along and support this great event, all money raised will go directly to the King’s Lynn Macmillan Centre. Last time we raised over £6,000, so come and help us beat it.
If you’d like to do that little bit more and help us on the day then just get in touch, there’s lots of jobs to do so any extra help would be great.
Thankyou for your support.
